Final Exam

4. The one photo that has transformed how I view photography is here:

This photo I took changed how I view photography because I didn't realize how photography allowed people to view objects with a different outlook. I came into this class knowing little to nothing about this art form, and did my best to catch up. I didn't realize something as simple as a stone at our school could be photographed to actually look interesting. Now I reconsider taking photos of objects that I originally thought were too plain to capture, and think of how perhaps they could be seen from a different perspective.

5. Shape is a closed line that is flat and can express length and width whereas form deals with three-dimensional objects that can express length, width, and depth.

6. Pattern is the repeating of an object or symbol all over the work of art whereas repetition works with pattern to make the work of art seem active. The repetition of elements of design creates unity within the work of art. My blog link for pattern and repetition:

7. Movement is what guides the viewer’s eye through the work of art. Movement can be directed through lines, edges, shape, and color within the work of art.
My example of movement is:
The different pinecones and colored strings cause the viewer to move his or her eye through the photo. The first colorful string catches your eye, and soon your eye is traveling across the photography, finding other pieces of color.

8. My best project was the one where we printed photos for the spring expo, here's the link: http://serlightstone.blogspot.com/2015/05/presentation-project-photos.html
I think it's my best work because I have used light, the positioning of the models, and other elements of art that I have learned about throughout this semester to take, what I believe, are some pretty good pictures. This project changed me because, since I came in the middle of the school year, I didn't believe I could be as good as everyone else when it came to photography. However, these photos give me the confidence to say I have done a decent job catching up and perhaps have the potential to continue improving and one day become a great photographer. I now see everything from a different perspective and wonder if things would make good pictures.
